Chicago rehearsal write up based upon peer observation

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WAaBH4pR7eE&authuser=1

In this video we are rehearsing Cell Block Tango. we mainly focussed on my solo section where I finished my solo and helped choreograph what the dancers were doing behind me. We also decided on me leading a group section towards the end of my solo which followed through to the end of the routine. In my peer observation surrounding this rehearsal it was said that I was focussed, ready to learn, punctual, applied feedback well and communicating choreography ideas to the group. So, I will ensure to continue these things in all the future rehearsals. However, I could contribute more ideas the group surrounding things like feedback and I also need to obtain my positive attitude and not just be excited and encouraging because we were working on my section as each part of the performance counts and needs my full effort and attention. To do this, I will set targets for myself for the next rehearsal. These targets include: contributing more ideas to the group, obtaining a positive attitude and encouraging others to work well, giving feedback to others and continuing to be on time and ready to work even if it is not about my specific section of the piece.

Singing solo assessment 3

This was my final video of my singing solo and significant improvements were made. I had a lot more energy, characterisation and projection within my voice. I sang the song without backing vocals and you can hear me clearly. also, my voice was deep and strong to match the intimidating character I was trying to portray. I danced full out while singing and my energy remained high. My movements did not look lazy, and I looked like I was enjoying myself. My characterisation also improved within my eye contact to the camera to look more intimidating, my jazz movements and my facial expressions which were snide and conceited. However, I dd miss some timing as the karaoke version was very different to the singing version I learnt, but I think I handled the p;roblem well.

Hamilton contextual Analysis

This is my character analysis sheet for the character I portray in Hamilton. It states what this character is like, their quotes, their relationships with other characters and how I will portray that to the audience. I found this very useful as it broke the character down for me so I could know them inside out, resulting in me being able to embody these characters accurately and easily.

Personal Management

This is my personal management sheet where I show what I did in certain rehearsals and what I didn’t do. For example, tying my hair back, warming up and if I was mentally ready to start or not.
