Matilda Contextual Analysis

This is my character analysis sheet for the character I portray in Matilda. It states what this character is like, their quotes, their relationships with other characters and how I will portray that to the audience. I found this very useful as it broke the character down for me so I could know them inside out, resulting in me being able to embody these characters accurately and easily.

Hamilton Write Up 2

This is my second Hamilton write up where I talk about my strengths and weaknesses and how I have and can improve, accompanied by photos to evidence my words. Also included are details about the rehearsal, my SMART targets and why certain things are important for performances like Hamilton.

Hamilton Rehearsal

This is the second rehearsal video of Hamilton and we have improved a lot from the first rehearsal. Our timing has significantly improved, especially at the start where we are walking, putting the chairs down and then sitting on them. This was very much in unison compared to the initial rehearsal where we were walking at different paces, placing down the chairs and sitting on them at different times. Also, the ensemble finally started singing the chorus parts at a hearable level with the director's support. She gave us the push we needed to remember to sing and dance at the same time. In the first rehearsal, we were very shy and not projecting our voices or not singing at all so this was a big improvement for us. Furthermore, our energy levels were much higher this time as everyone was bouncing around even during transitional movements and we all looked less bored and concentrated. However, the new section was very messy and out of time so in the next rehearsal we need to go over t...

Chicago rehearsal write up based upon peer observation

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WAaBH4pR7eE&authuser=1  In this video we are rehearsing Cell Block Tango. we mainly focussed on my solo section where I finished my solo and helped choreograph what the dancers were doing behind me. We also decided on me leading a group section towards the end of my solo which followed through to the end of the routine. In my peer observation surrounding this rehearsal it was said that I was focussed, ready to learn, punctual, applied feedback well and communicating choreography ideas to the group. So, I will ensure to continue these things in all the future rehearsals. However, I could contribute more ideas the group surrounding things like feedback and I also need to obtain my positive attitude and not just be excited and encouraging because we were working on my section as each part of the performance counts and needs my full effort and attention. To do this, I will set targets for myself for the next rehearsal. These targets include: co...
