  This is my 4th peer observation by Alfie Damps about our Matilda rehearsal. 

These videos show the next rehearsal we did of rent. We have improved a lot from the initial run through and we look much more professional and together as a team rather than 10 solo singers. Firstly, our characterisation is highly distinguished, even as we walk in looking around the stage and into the audience. Also, we are looking at each other, especially the soloists during their parts, smiling and showing stronger facial expressions. Next, we have improved significantly with our projection as you can hear everyone a lot clearer and louder, this due to our confidence growing because of the workshops we've been doing allowed us to come out of our shells. Finally, we portrayed a lot more energy into our movements when we start clapping it gave the routine life and was much more visually pleasing compared to the first ever rehearsal. In this rehearsal of Matilda, you can see a lot of improvements compared to the initial rehearsal. This dance is very fast paced and difficult, so improvements are a big celebration even though there's still room for more improvements. Our timing has significantly improved, especially in the start of the routine where we pump our chests and move into our first positions. our heads and chests were moving much more in unison this time. However, towards the end of the new choreography our timing messed up again, so we need to practice keeping our timing consistent. the energy levels were also much higher in this rehearsal as we are putting all our effort into the routine due to the number of stamina we have to exert. Also, our characterisation is much more noticeable in this video as we are finally embodying silly school kids. This was shown even in our transitions to other movements, for example, running to the next position while pretending to be an aeroplane. An improvement we need...

It states what this character is like, their quotes, their relationships with other characters and how I will portray that to the audience. I found this very useful as it broke the character down for me so I could know them inside out, resulting in me being able to embody these characters accurately and easily.
